The entrance requirements are the most stringent in Broward County. Only the top ten percent of students are eligible for admission. At the core of the program are the Areas of Interaction: Approaches to Learning, Community Service, Environment, Health and Social Education, and Homo Faber. Each of these themes is interwoven into the curriculum through the eight required subjects. There is a strong emphasis on foreign language and advanced course work. Teachers must be trained by the International Baccalaureate Organization.
